Help students to bridge the gap between cultures in an increasingly diverse world.

Examplary World Language

The Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language program at Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç focuses on the development of language proficiency (speaking, reading and writing), cultural and linguistic knowledge, and critical thinking. Students are also placed in classrooms in order to gain hands-on experience with various students, cultures and learning styles. Upon graduation, students will earn a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Spanish, in addition to being prepared for licensure to teach Spanish in the Pre-K through 12 setting.

The Foreign Language Education program is fully approved by the State Educator Preparation and Licensure Board and the Illinois State Board of Education.

Study Abroad Opportunities

Foreign Language Education students are highly encouraged to study abroad for a summer or a semester to experience the cultures they will teach in the classroom. Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç has relationships with Lasallian partner schools around the globe, making the study abroad experience affordable for students – or about the same as the cost of living on campus during the semester.
