HRSA Grant Helps Over 100 Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç Graduate Students, Addresses Workforce Shortage

Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç is in its final year of U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funding to address health care disparities in African-American, Latino, and low-income communities.
Since the Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) grant was awarded in 2021, Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç has been using the funding to reduce workforce shortages that lead to inadequate access to treatment and health care inequities, with a focus on children, adolescents, and transition age youth.
The $1.5 million grant supported funding and trainings for 105 Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç students.
The BHWET grant supported to several enhanced trainings for the above students.

- Simulation Training for Integrated Care
Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç is currently applying for a renewal of the BHWET grant from HRSA. If awarded, this new grant will allow the university to continue its vital work in training the next generation of behavioral health leaders.
