The main campus of Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç is located in the heart of the , a fascinating part of America’s history in the development of Northern Illinois.

Lockport (immediately adjacent to Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç) was established as a community on the slopes of the Des Plaines river valley in 1836. Active development occurred with the construction of the Illinois and Michigan Canal, which was designed to provide a crucial water link from the Great Lakes to the Mississippi River.

Within a few years of the canal opening in 1848, the railroad followed the path established by the I&M Canal, and Lockport was passed by as Chicago became the main rail terminus. Without the canal, however, it is unlikely that Chicago would have become the major city it has.

Close proximity to Chicago provides limitless opportunities for all students to complete internships in their chosen professional field. Also, Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç offers several degree programs in an online format to allow students an option to learn when and where they wish.
